Abbotsford Hospital

This 300-bed hospital and cancer centre was completed in July 2008. It was British Columbia’s first new regional hospital in 30 years. To allow for more usable occupied space in the building, the ventilation design incorporated a large portion of the equipment and ductwork to be positioned on the roof—a rarity in contemporary design principles. Completing a healthcare project of this size and complexity on time and on budget has been described as an unprecedented achievement.
